General David G. Perkins and Brigadier General Frank Kelley (USMC, Ret.) to address largest trade show for unmanned systems industry
Arlington, Va. Senior officials from the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy will deliver keynote presentations at AUVSIs XPONENTIAL 2016, the largest trade show for the unmanned systems and robotics industry. General David G. Perkins, Commander, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, will speak on Tuesday, May 3. Brigadier General Kelley (USMC, Ret.), Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Unmanned Systems, will speak on Thursday, May 5.
General Perkins assumed duties as Commander of the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) on March 14, 2014, after serving as Commander of the United States Army Combined Arms Center (USACAC) in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Perkins was the 21st commander of USACAC from November 2011 to February 2014, where he headed efforts to synchronize leader development across the Army, the management of the Armys training support and development enterprises, and the development and integration of the U.S. Armys war doctrine.
As Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Unmanned Systems, Brigadier General Kelley serves as principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition on all matters relating to unmanned systems. Prior to this position, Kelley was Commander of the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). From 2007 to 2009, Kelley was MCSCs Program Manager for Training Systems in Orlando. Kelley also previously taught at the Command and Staff College and served as an action officer to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Expeditionary Forces Program.

Award-winning journalist Miles OBrien, the science correspondent for PBS NewsHour, will serve as the host of XPONENTIAL.
