This has the potential to be a fun and educational event. In fact it could be a model for other groups to use to stage a similar event. The Sonoma Chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association CLSA has invited Leica, Topcon and Trimble to a throwdown.
The event is being held February 12, 2011 at the Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California. The all day event will provide the participants with the opportunity to see and learn about the use of laser scanning. Thanks to Reg Parks, Adjunct Instructor for the information, and if you are in the area I think it will be worth attending, especially if you are new to 3D laser scanning.
Maybe they should invite Bobby Flay to do the catering. (Trivia Question Why?)
