Optech Eclipse to be Introduced to International Audiences at GEO Business UK

May 16, 2016 Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that it will showcase the latest lidar solutions for acquiring accurate geospatial data at GEO Business UK on May 24-25, where it will present the new Optech Eclipse airborne data collection system and deliver a workshop on the Optech Galaxys latest technology.

Attendees looking for greater efficiency in smaller project areas and corridor applications can visit the Teledyne Optech booth M10 to hear about the latest airborne lidar/camera collection system, the Optech Eclipse. As the first airborne collection system that tightly integrates both passive and active imaging sensors with fully autonomous data collection on low-cost platforms, the Eclipse eliminates the need for an in-air operator, reducing surveying costs and making airborne lidar significantly more economical.

On May 25, in Room 3 at 11:00 a.m., Teledyne Optech staff will present a workshop on how the Optech Galaxys advanced features help cover wide areas and survey rugged terrain efficiently. Visitors will learn how the Galaxys PulseTRAK technology lets them ignore multipulse blind zones and how its SwathTRAK technology automatically adjusts the field of view to keep their point spacing and swath width consistent.

Booth M10 will also have solutions for airborne lidar bathymetry, including the multispectral Optech Titan, which uses three separate channels to efficiently survey shallow coastal regions and create multispectral maps of land-based targets, all in a single flight. Meanwhile, surveyors who want to use airborne lidar for a specific bathymetry project can ask about renting the industry-leading Optech CZMIL Nova through the CZMIL Project Program, which surveys in deeper and more turbid water than any other lidar.

Visitors interested in ground-based systems can ask about the newly-expanded family of Optech Lynx mobile survey systems. With three Lynx models now available (SG, SG-S and MG), users can decide whether they want a system that provides mapping-grade or survey-grade data, and whether they would prefer a single-sensor system optimized for installation flexibility or a dual-sensor system that maximizes point density and coverage. Teledyne Optech staff will also be happy to discuss several innovative uses of the Optech ILRIS terrestrial lidar scanner, such as integration with a multibeam echosounder for simultaneous above- and below-water surveys, and simultaneous surveying with the camera-equipped Optech XR6 UAV.
