Esris Lawrie Jordan to be Keynote Speaker at European LiDAR Mapping Forum, December 2012

The European LiDAR Mapping Forum (ELMF), which runs from 4-5 December 2012 in Salzburg, Austria, is delighted to announce that Lawrie Jordan, Director of Imagery at Esri will be giving this years keynote presentation.

Mr Jordans keynote speech will provide a vision for the fast-paced LIDAR industry. Focusing on how organisations can take their remotely sensed data to create intelligent 3D images for use in the cloud and augmented reality, his presentation will address the challenges facing the industry as well as potential GIS solutions.

Director of ELMF, Versha Carter, commented, We are thrilled to have Lawrie Jordan as our keynote speaker. With over 30 years at the cutting edge of image processing and remote sensing, he is widely regarded as a visionary within the industry. There will be more than 35 other technical experts from around the world presenting papers and Lawrie will certainly exemplify the progress of LIDAR.

As well as working as Esris Director of Imagery, Mr Jordan acts as Special Assistant to Jack Dangermond, President of Esri, serving as an advocate for successful applications of all forms of imagery within the GIS enterprise, including environmental, civil, defense and intelligence community solutions. He has also been an advisor to numerous government organisations on current and future trends involving imagery and satellite programs.
