Tournament to raise funds for local Houston charities
HOUSTON, TX 26 March 2012: AVEVA (LSE: AVV), announced today it is a sponsor of the Shell Houston Open professional golf tournament. Being held at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, March 29 April 1, 2012, golfs brightest stars will tee up for the annual PGA Tour affair in the year that AVEVA and Shell celebrate 25 years of business collaboration.
AVEVA continues to enjoy a proud, on-going 25 year relationship with Shell, working on some of the worlds most challenging engineering projects, said Richard Longdon Chief Executive Office, AVEVA. Shell is a key customer, utilizing both engineering design and information management solutions in order to enhance delivery of offshore projects, commented William Muldoon, Executive Vice President North America, AVEVA.
AVEVA established a working relationship with the Shell Deepwater team in 1987 when it first implemented its flagship PDMS engineering 3D design software for the Auger TLP offshore project. Since then AVEVA is proud to have contributed to the design of Shells complex deepwater projects across the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico through the use of AVEVAs information management and 3D engineering design technology.

The tournament is an excellent way to raise funds for a host of local Houston charities. The 2011 Shell Houston Open raised $2.07 million and we are proud to contribute to this very worthy effort. Muldoon added.
The tournament, worth 500 points towards the PGA Tours FedEx Cup championship, will be televised by NBC and the Golf Channel. Last years Shell Houston Open winner was Phil Mickelson taking home the $1 million winners share with a 20 under par performance (268), just two over the tournament record.
