INOVx and Chevron Participate in 2009 Intel Developers Forum

Thursday, September 24, 2009 Irvine, California – Chevron and INOVx exhibited in Intels 2009 Developer Forum (IDF 2009) held in San Francisco, CA on September 22-24, 2009. The exhibit highlighted Chevrons Refinery Asset Virtualization Environment (RAVE), a refinery of the future initiative which provides the foundation for an immersive and highly interactive 3D environment for supporting refinery maintenance and operations functions. The vision of RAVE is to enable virtual analysis, training, operational excellence and collaboration across multiple sites. Chevron uses INOVxs RealityLINx as one of the key foundations for the RAVE environment. RealityLINx hosts a 3D virtual model of the refinery connected to live operations and maintenance data sources including asset reliability systems, computerized maintenance management (CMM), process historians, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), etc.

During the IDF 2009 conference, INOVx and Chevron demonstrated the benefits of hosting the RAVE solution on servers built with Intels Nehelum processor. The exhibit was featured in Intels server technologies pavilion.

We are very pleased to be working with Chevron on this forward looking RAVE initiative, said George Bauer, VP Marketing at INOVx. Every time we engage people in the industry with concepts and vision of RAVE, as we are doing at IDF2009, there is a great deal of excitement. It is clear that these ideas are transforming the way the industry approaches operations and maintenance.
