Vaughan, Canada – Optech Incorporated, a manufacturer of leading-edge lidar survey systems, has been named Exporter of the Year. The award was announced April 17th at the 19th Annual Vaughan Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards banquet.
Sponsored by Export Development Canada, the competitive award recognizes world-class performance in opening new export markets, increasing exports and introducing new products.

Remarks during the award presentation noted that Optech technology is also at the heart of the lidar-based weather station aboard the NASA Phoenix Mars Lander, due to land on the Red Planet on May 25th, giving Optech the additional distinction of the farthest export of any award recipient.
