Ken is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and also a Quality Construction Manager (QCM), a certification issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers. A past member of the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and committee member at the Engineering Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP), Ken stays active in local Pittsburgh-area civil engineering related issues and agencies/firms. Ken is a principal in the civil, survey and construction services firm of Harken-Reidar, Inc., a total integration solutions provider for the industry serving clients world-wide. Harken-Reidar specializes in software sales, training and cross-platform integration throughout an enterprise or project stakeholder group, and is certified in all major vendors' products across the industry spectrum: authorized AutoCAD Premier Training Center, Bentley Partner, and the founding member of Carlson College, collectively the "ABC's of CADD." Harken-Reidar is currently undergoing the certification process as an authorized ESRI training center as well. Ken's specialization is in the land development and municipal engineering arena, with heavy expertise applying GIS applications and solutions to the engineering process. A 25 year industry veteran of local, federal, and international design efforts, Ken brings a diverse design and project management skill set to any project. Harken-Reidar is headquartered in the Washington, DC Metro area (Front Royal, VA), and Ken is based out of the Pittsburgh area branch location.
