6 February, 2013, Brescia, Italy- Gexcel Srl has released Apps allowing visualization and measurements of 3D SolidImages from the gexcel R3 Point Cloud Engine and gexcel R3Xtream technology directly on to iOS and Android tablet devices.
This is a perfect tool for the engineering and survey professional working in the field, on large projects such as DOT highway surveys, building construction, infrastructure, and any place where 4D data is essential to have in almost real time. It paves the way for extremely user friendly and scalable automated workflows to enable fast field access to project results, without the need to download and manage huge pointclouds. The solid images are RGB or greyscale 2D image representations of 3D datasets, with all the 3D depth information contained behind them, allowing the visualization and measurement of three dimensional features. The entire Gexcel suite of software is available as individual single user modules, or fully tailored packages for OEM deployment under hardware manufacturer brand names.
