This video is a great intro to the power of laser scanning in the mechanical space. CMM is short for coordinate measuring machine. There are a lot of motor heads, my brother included that would love to get their hands on one of these. All of the custom car and bike builders on TV might actually know that something they fabricate will actually fit if they knew about this, but then I guess you would lose all of the suspense.
