Raleigh, N.C. – NOV. 2, 2026 – McKim & Creed has been selected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District, to provide surveying and geospatial services for the Green Brook Segments Flood Risk Management Project in New Jersey. The project encompasses portions of North Plainfield, Plainfield, Green Brook Township and Middlesex within the Green Brook sub-basin of the Raritan River Basin.
McKim & Creed’s Geospatial team will provide topographic mapping, airborne lidar, topobathy lidar, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), aerial photography and GIS services. The team will document current surface, subsurface and underwater conditions to give USACE an accurate, integrated picture of the project area. This existing-conditions data will support the design of recommended flood control elements and the preparation of plans and specifications for the project, providing the technical foundation USACE needs to advance its flood risk management mission.
“This project requires the integration of multiple survey and geospatial technologies to produce accurate, consistent data for USACE,” said David Jones, Senior Vice President. “Our team brings the technical expertise and technology required to collect, validate and integrate surface, subsurface and underwater data into deliverables that support engineering and design.”
Accurate existing-conditions data is required before USACE can advance the design of flood control improvements. By combining topographic, bathymetric, utility, aerial and property information into coordinated geospatial deliverables, McKim & Creed will provide the New York District with the technical foundation needed to evaluate conditions and develop the project’s flood control elements.
The project demonstrates McKim & Creed’s ability to deliver multidisciplinary geospatial services for mission-critical USACE infrastructure projects, combining advanced data acquisition and processing technology with federal surveying, mapping and quality requirements.
