Watkins, CO, and Cleveland, OH, 23 April 2026 – Aerial Surveys International (ASI) and Global Marketing Insights will present a GEOINT 2026 training workshop on the application of next-generation geospatial fusion frameworks integrating airborne LiDAR, 3D analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor defense and critical infrastructure and to deliver a unified operational picture across land, sea, cyberspace, and orbital domains.
“Multi-Domain Geospatial Fusion for Defense: Integrating LiDAR, 3D Analytics, and AI from Terrain to Orbit” will be held Tuesday, May 5, 7:30-8:30 am, in Willow Lake 5 at GEOINT 2026 at Gaylord of the Rockies in Colorado. The session will be led by Dr. Shawana Johnson, GISP, CEO of Global Marketing Insights, and Mark Schubert, CEO of Aerial Surveys International. A basic knowledge of Aerial Remote Sensing, 3D LiDAR, and AI is suggested for this workshop.

Monitoring of both military and civilian infrastructure, such as ports, coastal zones, transportation corridors, and energy networks is critical to defense missions. The airborne data captured by ASI provides precise LiDAR-derived 3D elevation and structural data in asset-filled environments. Urban Hawk’s AI-powered temporal reasoning applied to the fused data performs object classification, change detection, and anomaly flagging in real-time to generate actionable geospatial intelligence.

One use case will show how oblique LiDAR data can be fused with other data and analyzed to assess the suitability of a damaged urban environment to support military logistics operations. Other examples will cover monitoring of pipelines, airfields, and energy transmission facilities.
