Picotech Ltd have announced the release of Podlet – a turnkey survey package for IHO Special Order Multibeam Surveys onboard BlueRobotics’ BlueBoat™.
BlueBoat+Podlet fits fully rigged in the trunk of a small hatchback and can be hand-launched and recovered at the point of survey by one person. With the lowest power consumption, it delivers the longest endurance for seamless, high-precision hydrographic data collection—all in a one-person portable package (combined mass of just 21kg)
Podlet is supported by industry standard acquisition and processing software, BeamworX®, EIVA NaviSuite®, Xylem HYPACK®, Teledyne PDS® and QPS QINSy® and offers bathymetry and backscatter (snippets) as standard. Compatible with low-cost RTK base stations such as the Reach RS2, Podlet is peerless at its price point.
