Picterra Launches New Geospatial Product to Transform Compliance, Verification and Sustainability Monitoring

Picterra, a leading provider of GeoAI solutions, has launched a new all-in-one product for plot monitoring, reporting, and verification, to enable companies involved in the supply chain of soft commodities and forestry to meet compliance and sustainability goals.

Picterra Tracer is designed to simplify and enhance the process of creating, validating, analyzing, and monitoring land plots and boundaries. By utilizing satellite, drone, and aerial imagery, along with global and regional open-source layers and a visually intuitive geographic interface, Picterra Tracer enables precise and reliable plot analysis.

Developed with flexibility and efficiency in mind, it enables producers, operators, and traders involved in the supply chain of soft commodities and forestry to comply with critical environmental regulations and sustainability reporting, such as the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Through a range of features that are flexible, efficient, and easy to use for those with little to no technical geospatial experience, the platform will also help users validate carbon credit claims and perform complex environmental monitoring.

Automated data verification and correction tools will ensure that all incoming data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulatory standards like the EUDR, while its ability to automatically map plot boundaries from limited information can guide the creation of accurate boundaries.

Picterra Tracer also provides interactive data visualization tools that allow users to visualize environmental layers, such as deforestation detection, before reviewing the analysis results and exporting them into a report through a single click.

Frank de Morsier, Co-Founder and COO at Picterra, said:

“Regulatory requirements such as the EUDR and the demand for transparent sustainability practices have created immense pressure on companies to manage their supply chain and associated geospatial data more effectively.

“As fragmented solutions have only added complexity to the operations of ecosystem stakeholders – keeping stress levels high with EUDR on the horizon – Picterra Tracer steps in to fill this gap. It delivers a product that not only simplifies compliance but also adds strategic value by transforming raw data into due diligence reports relevant across multiple industries.”

Picterra Tracer’s modular API integrates seamlessly into diverse traceability and ERP ecosystems allowing companies to deploy tailored geospatial analysis capabilities to meet specific traceability and compliance needs.

As a recent partnership example Picterra Tracer’s API now integrates seamlessly with Tilkal’s new Traceability Open Connect initiative. This trusted, interoperable ecosystem promotes secure, bidirectional data exchange across diverse traceability solutions, enabling Picterra Tracer to deliver its geospatial analysis capabilities within this robust framework for partner collaboration.

Designed to be versatile for multiple industries involved in biodiversity monitoring, regenerative agriculture, and carbon offset management, the platform can meet the unique challenges of different commodities such as cocoa, coffee, soy, palm oil, wood, cattle, and rubber.

It is now available for demonstrations and pre-orders, with full deployment scheduled for early 2025.

A product overview session (LinkedIn / YouTube) will be held on Monday, 18th November, at 10:00 ET / 16:00 CET for those wanting to learn more, with further information available at https://picterra.ch/blog/introducing-picterra-tracer-a-new-product-for-plot-monitoring-reporting-verification/.
