Only two days left until the exclusive early bird promotion expires! For all those who have the INTERGEO CONFERENCE in their calendars, this means: Grab it now! Three days of top topics, renowned speakers and an all-round view of everything from the world of geoinformation await you.

This year’s INTERGEO CONFERENCE inspires and informs in equal measure. From October 10 to 12, 2023, the DVW has put together a top-class program that provides a stage for practice and science alike.

A brilliant start to the three-day program will be provided by Jack Dangermond, Founder and CEO of ESRI Inc. With his presentation “Geography and GIS – a Platform for Sustainability”, he will focus on the indispensable role of geoinformation and networked platforms of collaboration for solving problems in today’s and tomorrow’s world.

No less exciting will be the view into the German geoinformation future, which Prof. Dr. Paul Becker, President of the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, will provide for the participants of the CONFERENCE.

Scott Crozier, Vice President Survey & Mapping at Trimble, will present the paper “Trust. Connect. Transform. Unlocking the power of geospatial data.” In his announcement, he emphasizes the importance of highly accurate geospatial data for social change and addressing complex challenges such as climate change and food security. Crozier’s presentation highlights advances in surveying technology, addresses the importance of cloud technologies for data availability, and emphasizes that trust and collaboration are the cornerstone of transformative change.

Earth Observation and Global Monitoring

Under the moderation of Godela Rossner from the German Aerospace Center, groundbreaking impulses and discussions on the topic of Earth Observation will be presented at noon on the first day of the CONFERENCE. Speakers including Juliette Lambin from the European Space Agency (ESA), Elisabeth Hamdouch from the European Commission, and Dr. Anna Christmann, the German government’s coordinator for German aerospace, will highlight the importance of Earth observation for global challenges as well as political decision-making processes. The second session, immediately following, focuses on “Earth Observation – From Global Monitoring to Local Action,” and features experts such as Dr. Martin Lenk of the BKG, Dr. Michael Judex of the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, Prof. Dr. Ralph Watzel of the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources, and Markus Probeck of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC), who will highlight the diversity and benefits of Earth observation for different application areas.

The Earth Observation Day will continue with a panel discussion in which different geospatial information management stakeholders will present their use of remote sensing data. Among other things, the findings of global monitoring will also be incorporated into the climate adaptation strategies presented in the last session of the day, which are becoming increasingly important for climate-resilient urban planning, for example.

Three intensive days full of knowledge and innovations

The diverse topics range from “The Future of GIS” and “Metaverse and Geoinformation” to Industry, Agriculture, Galileo, Smart Cities, BIM, Digital Twins, Smart Mapping, Spatial Data Hubs, Sustainability in Real Estate. AI applications for sustainability and engineering geodesy will be highlighted just as intensively.

Take advantage of the last days of the early bird promotion until August 25 and secure your ticket to INTERGEO CONFERENCE 2023. Experience innovation, networking and insights at first hand – be there!
