Washington D.C, February 16, 2023 – Werner Filez, one of the most renowned experts in Applied Infrastructure Solutions, has joined Outsight, a leader in LiDAR software solutions, as the Smart Infrastructure Sales Director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Having worked in the infrastructure sector for the last 25 years, M. Filez brings a strong background in data security. He first worked as a CCTV and security specialist with a number of European firms in the 1990s before serving as Transportation Manager for a STRABAG Group subsidiary, facilitating the integration of video algorithms for embedded devices and intelligent on-board units. During this time, Mr. Filez worked with clients such as Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company (STIB), overseeing the installation of camera solutions on Brussels’ tram, bus, and metro infrastructure.
He subsequently served as the International Business Development Manager Transportation at Teledyne FLIR, an American enterprise specializing in thermal imaging and infrared camera systems. Prior to joining Outsight, Mr. Filez served as a Sales Director at Ouster (an American LiDAR hardware manufacturer), applying his rich sales and project management experience to Smart Infrastructure and Smart Cities use cases.
Mr. Filez will work with hardware manufacturers to accelerate the deployment of LiDAR in Smart Infrastructure and Smart Cities. Thanks to Outsight’s software-based approach, agnostic to hardware, clients will be able to use the ideal combination of products from different hardware manufacturers with greater flexibility,
