Dewberry Welcomes Geospatial Project Manager Karen Rogers

Former president of National States Geographic Information Council joins firm to support GTS team.

R 220706 N4Fairfax, VA—July 12, 2022 – Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Karen Rogers, GISP, has joined the firm as a geospatial and technology services (GTS) project manager and will lead efforts to grow Dewberry’s government and business relationships across multiple markets. She is based in the firm’s Denver, Colorado, office.

Prior to joining Dewberry, Rogers was the chief geo data officer for the state of Wyoming’s Department of Enterprise Technology Services where she developed implementation plans for an enterprise geographic information system (GIS). She also worked with GIS users at all levels of government and academia to improve workflows and GIS curriculums. Rogers brings more than 20 years of experience in natural resource management, enterprise systems, GIS, and remote sensing technologies.

Rogers earned her bachelor’s in anthropology from the University of Wyoming (1995), and is the former president of the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) and Wyoming Geospatial Organization. She currently serves as a chair for the Wyoming Next Generation

9-1-1 GIS working group and NSGIC Western States Caucus, co-chair for the NSGIC Member Resources working group, the NSGIC representative to the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations, the NSGIC liaison to the National Tribal GIS Council, and the National Geodetic Survey State coordinator for Wyoming.
