Winter Garden, Florida – February 15, 2022 – RIEGL USA Inc. is excited to announce the new Managing Director of RIEGL Canada Ltd., Michael Sitar, who is also acting as Airborne Division Manager for the North American territory. Michael will be joining Kelly Martin who has been Managing Director for RIEGL Canada since 2019. His appointment to this position comes as Susan Licari, former Managing Director for RIEGL Canada and RIEGL USA’s Sales & Marketing Director, passes the torch to him as she focuses on other initiatives for RIEGL USA. “As I lead other projects and initiatives for RIEGL USA I am confident that Michael will be an excellent leader of this region and will push the needle forward in market share within Canada.”
The RIEGL Canada office in Toronto serves as base for sales and customer support, creating the proximity to better serve the growing Canadian customer base. As a Canadian citizen, Mr. Sitar is looking forward to taking on this additional responsibility in his home territory.
Michael Sitar holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies in Geography from the University of Waterloo, a BSc in Environmental Science from Nipissing University and a Diploma in Environmental Biology Technology from Canadore College. He is a recognized industry expert with over twenty years of experience in the product and business management of survey sensors and solutions for leading LiDAR manufacturers. His focus is the development and implementation of strategic growth plans in existing and future LiDAR market verticals to increase RIEGL market share and brand recognition within North America.
