Herndon, VA (March 2, 2021)— The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) is pleased to announce that Robert Cardillo has been elected to serve as chair of the USGIF Board of Directors.
Cardillo is president of The Cardillo Group, LLC which delivers strategic and operational expertise to create an enhanced awareness of our planet to enable improved decision-making. Cardillo was the sixth director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency from 2014 – 2019. He transformed the agency’s future value proposition through innovative partnerships with the growing commercial geospatial marketplace. During his 35+ years of public service, Cardillo served in leadership positions with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
“I had the distinct privilege of being involved in the idea of the USGIF before it was even formed. And I was proud to lock arms with USGIF from senior government positions to advance the profession to best address global security challenges.
