Austin, TX — August 31, 2020 — SAM Companies, a leading provider of geospatial and construction services in North America, is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of HALIS, formerly Metro Geospatial, LLC, a LiDAR and imagery acquisition company located in McDonough, Georgia.

HALIS has specialized in aerial data acquisition for a wide range of markets across the U.S. since its founding in 2010. SAM continues to expand its geographic footprint and service offerings through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. This acquisition continues SAM’’s aggressive expansion, with this being SAM’s sixth acquisition in four years.

“Our acquisition of HALIS is another great step towards reaching our strategic growth goals,” said SAM President and CEO, Chris Solomon. “They have extensive expertise in aerial mapping that supplements our own capabilities and services and we are very excited about bringing their talent to our team. This will be a win for our collective clients.”

The HALIS leadership staff will be joining SAM as part of the acquisition, including President Geoffrey Sease. “SAM has a reputation for excellence in geospatial services nationally and we are thrilled about becoming part of their team,” noted Sease. “Our combined strengths and expertise will allow us to deliver even greater value for our clients.”
