USIBD President John M. Russo says “We are thrilled to be partnering with SPAR 3D and AEC Next in Chicago this year. SPAR is where USIBD was born, so working with them is both exciting, and builds on this relationship, which gives USIBD a wider audience in the AECO industries to connect with.” 2020 Symposium Chair Kevin Foster notes, “We are looking forward to providing two days of Building Documentation-centric presentations as part of our USIBD track. With sessions aimed at both service providers, and to those stakeholders who hire them, we believe the information presented will help everyone take advantage of information they may not yet be using.”
Abstracts are being accepted now for specific sessions, discussing the benefits of using 3D scanning technology to those stakeholder groups who could, but may not yet be using it yet to the best advantages. There will also be sessions that will provide deeper material in capturing and utilizing the
data that BD offers, to both provide better ROI, more efficient workflows, and better concepts on what information is available to glean. Finally, presentations are being planned to review USIBD’s Standards and publication including those available now and those currently in the planning and developments stages. Conference packages will be available for the USIBD Symposium alone, as well as packages including the two partner events. There will be full-conference sessions open to all attendees as well. Attendees will have access to the networking activities and vendors on the exhibit hall floor at AEC Next and SPAR 3D, which boasts more than 150 technology exhibits.
