Maysville, Kentucky, U.S.A. (May 2018) Carlson Software will be debuting its photogrammetry solution, Carlson PhotoCapture, during GEO Business 2018, which is being held in London, United Kingdom, May 22-23. The workshop presentation will be held in Room F on Tuesday, May 22, at 1:15 p.m. GMT+1.
GEO Business is the initial show for Carlson PhotoCapture, which allows users to generate interactive 3D maps of sites using aerial, oblique, or terrestrial images by creating an orthomosaic photo to piece the working site together. Users can then set control points to fine-tune survey data and edit the 3D map immediately upon upload completion from anywhere with an internet connection.
Along with the introduction of PhotoCapture, Carlson will display its line of data collection products at stands K22 and N25 during the upcoming show. Stop by the booths to meet members of Carlsons European team and learn more about Carlsons new BrX6+ GNSS Reciever, its Surveyor 2 field computer, the RT3 Windows tablet, plus Carlsons popular SurvCE/SurvPC data collection software solutions and Carlson Survey, office software that provides a full tool kit for surveyors with everything from network least squares to surface modeling.
In addition, Carlsons James Holmes will be working with a U.K. Carlson distributor, Swathe Services, to demonstrate the Carlsons laser scanner, Merlin. The presentation will be in Theatre 3 at 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22. Merlin is the marine lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) system that provides cost-effective and laser scanning for hydrographic surveyors.
Holmes, a 2012 graduate of Newcastle University, is also proud to be participating in an alumni event at the schools stand F5 at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22. All are invited to stop by and learn more about Newcastles surveying, mapping and GIS courses.
