Dayton, Ohio (March 30, 2018) Woolpert has hired Eric Dillinger as Vice President and Managing Director of Strategic Consulting, expanding the firms planned strategic growth in integrated advisory services for its clients. Dillinger, who most recently served as the Vice President of Jacobs Buildings and Infrastructure Americas consultancy practice, has more than 30 years of experience providing planning, design, consulting and advisory services for the infrastructure and built environment.
Woolpert has been offering strategic consulting to clients for decades; excelling in areas like military master planning, organizational and sustainability implementation services for water clients, and information technology master planning, said Scott Cattran, President and CEO of Woolpert. We have hired Eric to expand our consulting services to run across all our verticals, including transportation and aviation, water and energy, facilities and buildings, and federal agencies. This strategic consulting will help all our clients with their overarching capital planning, regulatory compliance, operations and maintenance, asset management and process improvements.
According to Dillinger, Woolpert is the right size and has the right DNA for him to expand its strategic consulting business.
Woolpert has a vision to be the premier architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) firm in the industry, and I wanted to be a part of this. I wanted to get back into a firm that was more entrepreneurial, with a collaborative culture and a focus on delivering innovative solutions across a range of public and private sector markets, Dillinger said. Woolpert has an incredible history of thought leadership and technology consulting with an ongoing focus on serious innovation through Woolpert Labs. Woolpert has the architects, engineers and geospatial experts required to support strategic consulting with practical and implementable solutions.
Woolpert was founded in 1911, and has 25 offices nationwide and close to 800 employees. Woolpert Labs is a cross-functional group of industry leaders within the company, focused on discovering new uses for technology and practices that will continue to fuel industry advances in the architecture, engineering and geospatial verticals.
Organically, Woolpert has already developed an exceptional portfolio of technology leadership and is seen as a high-value partner to its clients, so that groundwork has been laid, Dillinger said. On top of that, Woolpert is heavily invested in research and development. Unlike firms who say theyd like to move into R&D, Woolpert already has the patents, the innovation and the cool technology to support this essential aspect of its growth.
In 2015, Dillinger was recognized by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) with the Chairmans Citation for ongoing thought leadership in strategic asset management and achieving a sustainable built environment. The citation stated that Dillinger excelled through inspired leadership in the formation of IFMAs Airport Facilities Council in 2003 and outstanding continued support and guidance; as a subject matter expert in facility management system design and implementation, capital finance, facility planning and design, operations and maintenance, emergency preparation and response, business continuity and recovery; and as a published author and contributor to best FM practices for more than 25 years with a focus on total cost of ownership.
Dillinger holds a degree in industrial engineering from Kansas State University, has written multiple publications regarding asset management and is a member of the IFMA, The Institute of Asset Management, the Society of American Military Engineers and the Airport Council International, among others.
