Terrametrix, one of the leading service providers of mobile LiDAR since 2008, has been acquired by TREKK Design Group, a multi-disciplined, women owned civil engineering firm. What this means for our clients is expanded services in data extraction and LiDAR collection with our newly acquired all-in-one ROBIN mobile LiDAR system.
TREKK offers expertise in municipal, transportation, traffic, storm water, water and wastewater engineering; survey; utility coordination; field services; GIS and asset management; and construction inspection. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, TREKK presently has offices across Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Tennessee. The firm is certified as a Small Business SBA 8(a) Enterprise and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee.
Former CEO and President of Terrametrix, Michael Frecks, will serve as TREKK Survey/LiDAR Manager out of the Omaha area office. Cyn Rene Whitfield will assist in business development, Jack Cudaback will continue as data extraction/CAD and training of TREKK technicians. Todd Gnuse and Terry Frecks will continue as LiDAR scan technicians in the field.
This is an exciting time for mobile LiDAR as this merger will intensify and strengthen our combined ability to serve our existing markets and clients, said Kimberly Robinett, founder of TREKK Design Group. Since 2002, TREKK has grown to more than 100 employees with eight offices across the Midwest, offering a full complement of engineering design and consulting services and now mobile LiDAR.
