Easton, Maryland AXIS GeoAviation LLC today announced the appointment of Andrew Camela as Operations Coordinator. A new position within the flight department, Mr. Camela will be managing Sensor Operators for aerial missions focusing on quality data collection.
With a proven track record for successfully leading large scale initiatives and driving geospatial innovation, Andys leadership skills are well suited to lead AXIS GeoAviation LLCs quality spatial data development efforts as they continue in their mission to provide clients with accurate spatial data that can be integrated with their job site specifications.
Mr. Camela brings more than 3 years of experience in geospatial analysis and data acquisition operations to AXIS. Most recently, he served as Geospatial Analyst at Leidos where he was responsible for processing GPS/IMU, LiDAR, and EO sensor data from a raw format to final products and dissemination in support of the Army Buckeye program in both CONUS and OCONUS locations
Mr. Camela received his Bachelors Degree in Geography from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Retired from the United States Army, Mr. Camela had tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Andy brings an enormous amount of LiDAR technology experience to the Team which was obtained while working for various DoD and commercial venues. He has worked with international governments and other government entities.
