Montreal, Canada, April 14th, 2015 SimActive Inc., a world-leading developer of photogrammetry software, is pleased to announce Correlator3D version 6.1, now with point cloud generation.
The new feature builds on SimActives world-renowned autocorrelation techniques using the GPU. Point clouds are generated in parallel with digital surface models (DSMs), with virtually no added processing time. As with previous versions, digital terrain models (DTMs) can also be automatically extracted in a matter of seconds.
Although the DSM remains the de-facto deliverable for all mapping projects, an increase in interest from our UAV users led to the added functionality, said Louis Simard, CTO of SimActive. This further solidifies Correlator3D as a one-stop solution.
SimActive is the developer of Correlator3D software, a patented end-to-end photogrammetry solution for the generation of high-quality geospatial data from satellite and aerial imagery, including UAVs. Correlator3D performs aerial triangulation (AT) and produces dense digital surface models (DSM), digital terrain models (DTM), orthomosaics and vectorized 3D features. Powered by GPU technology and multi-core CPUs, Correlator3D ensures matchless processing speed to support rapid production of large datasets. SimActive has been selling Correlator3D to leading mapping firms and government organizations around the world, offering cutting-edge photogrammetry software backed by exceptional customer support.
