Hallowell, Maine – November 11, 2014 – Blue Marble Geographics announced today that the presenters’ slides and photographs from the recent User Conferences are now available online at www.bluemarblegeo.com/bmuc. The two events, which were widely acclaimed as the most successful ever, were held in Calgary, Alberta and in Houston, Texas. Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.
The 2014 Blue Marble User Conference in Calgary, which took place on September 8th, was the first such event to be held in Canada and saw the largest turnout in the history of the conference. Attendees were treated to a variety of interesting presentations from industry professionals and were able to explore business opportunities during networking and social events. The conference featured presentations from LMKR-GeoGraphix, Avenza Systems Inc., Suncor Energy, and DAT/EM Systems International.
The event in Houston was held on October 30th in conjunction with the GITA Pipeline Week Conference and brought together an enthusiastic group of users from throughout Texas and beyond. Although the energy sector featured prominently in the attendee list, professionals from a wide variety of business sectors and industries were able to exchange ideas, make new connections, and gain some valuable insight into the use of both Global Mapper and Geographic Calculator. Featured presenters in Houston included representatives from BSP Engineers, Inc., EnSoCo, Inc., and Pictometry. Both conferences also featured presentations from the Blue Marble Team, as well as interactive games, public training and social events.
