SPAR to partner with USIBD and IFMA on Three-Part Webinar Series
August 7, 2014 Portland, Maine, USA SPAR Point Group today announced their partnership with the U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) to present the three-part webinar series Existing Building Documentation for Owners. The free webinar series will feature building documentation challenges and case studies from facilities owners. This collaboration is excellent news for Asset Owners and Facilities Managers, said Lisa Murray, SPAR Point Group Director. For the first time, these three organizations are coming together to deliver the latest technology and workflow solutions to building owners. The IFMA Technology Council has a deep understanding of building owners needs, USIBD is setting the standard for building documentation and SPAR is the leading conference for end-to-end 3D technologies. The goal of the webinar series is to bridge owners and service providers understanding of current and newer building documentation applications for facilities lifecycle planning including GIS, Point Clouds, BIM, and other data collection, authoring and management tools. Also included will be current standards, processes, workflows and technologies and how these can be integrated to meet owners downstream needs.
