SPAR Europe & European LiDAR Mapping Conference Begins on Monday, 11 November

Events will be packed with presentations, exhibitions, and networking opportunities within the LiDAR and 3D markets

(Wednesday, 6 November) Portland, Maine On Monday 11 November, SPAR Europe 3D Measurement & Imaging Conference and European LiDAR Mapping Forum will get underway, with two-and-a-half days packed with presentations, live demonstrations, networking opportunities and an exhibition, all focused on the LiDAR and 3D measurement and imaging market. SPAR Europe and European LiDAR Mapping Forum bring together professionals from diverse industries from throughout Europe and beyond to discover the latest advances and technologies in 3D data capture, processing and delivery to drive efficiency, improve workflows, reduce project timelines, improve safety and mitigate risk. The conference is being held at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and Mvenpick Hotel in Amsterdam 11 – 13 November.

More than 90 experts are scheduled to present at the conference. Thought-leaders will share their experience and expertise on dozens of topics facing users including managing large data sets, considerations for working in the cloud, intelligent models, 3D visualization, 4D, 5D, 6D technologies and more, says Lisa. Murray, Conference Director.

In addition to the robust conference schedule, the sold-out exhibit floor features more than 50 suppliers of hardware and software solutions. The latest technology being launched at the event will show that productivity is driving significant market changes including the integration of multiple data acquisition systems and processing and visualization tools, said Ms. Murray.

The event also features numerous live demonstrations, where vendors showcase various data capture tools and processes and present their results. This year, demonstrations range from a Mock Crime Scene and Industrial Facility scan to Portable/Indoor Mapping and Mobile Scans of a Construction Site.

This is the first year SPAR Europe and European LiDAR Mapping Forum will take place together. Holding these two conferences together creates an unprecedented and unique opportunity for everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals in the fields of geospatial mapping, GIS, 3D measurement and multi-dimensional imaging, said Ms. Murray, Conference Director.

Registration is still open online but will also be available at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam beginning Monday, 11 November.
