Virtual Geomatics Names John Clark to Lead Its Business Development Efforts

Austin, TX, June 17, 2013 – Virtual Geomatics, Inc. has appointed John Clark as the companys new vice president of Business Development. In his new role, Clark will lead sales, marketing, and business development activities with special focus on new channels and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining VGI, Clark was the VP of Sales for Altus Positioning Systems. Previously he founded Geomatic Resources LLC and held several positions at Leica Geosystems including vice president of sales for South Central USA, regional manager of direct sales, and technical sales representative. Additionally, Clark was a business analyst and highway design engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation.

"John brings a unique perspective to our market outreach having worked in the diverse sectors of Government, Corporate, and Small Business. He has special understanding and insight into the challenges faced by each and how we address their needs," said Kalvi Mani, CEO and president of Virtual Geomatics.

Clark earned a Master of Science in Management and Human Relations from Abilene Christian University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in Texas.
