Cansel to add EdgeWise suite of automated modeling products to its software offerings
Colorado Springs, CO April 18, 2013 ClearEdge3D and Cansel today jointly announced a reseller partnership that will make the EdgeWise suite of automated modeling software available to Cansels customers across Canada.
ClearEdges suite of automated modeling software uses complex algorithms to automatically identify planes and cylinders in a laser scan point cloud, extracting the exact geometry from the points, and eliminating much of the need to manually trace pipes, components and architectural features such as walls, windows or doors. Users of EdgeWise report a time savings in their modeling workflow of up to 75%
The companys software include EdgeWise Plant, for the industrial/process plant industry; EdgeWise MEP for Revit, for the mechanical BIM market; and EdgeWise Building, for the architectural modeling industry. The agreement gives Cansel reseller rights in all of these markets across Canada. Cansels reach and market share in Canada are broad and deep in the key markets we serve, said Chris Scotton, ClearEdge3Ds President and CEO. We are delighted to have them as a Canadian reseller.
We are seeing a huge explosion in organization moving to laser scanning, primarily due to the lower cost, faster speed, greater accuracy and very light weight of the latest scanning hardware, such as our Trimble TX5.
