Gexcel launches SolidImage powerful Streaming.

13th of November, The Hague, Netherland:

To coincide with SPAR Europe, Gexcel Srl has released SolidImage Streaming, the newly developed lidar streaming and sharing cloud based tool. The gexcel R3 Point Cloud Engine and R3Xtream technology allows almost any browser to visualize and share virtually unlimited solid images via Internet on local workstations, iOS and Android based mobile devices. The solid images are RGB or greyscale 2D image representations of 3D datasets, with all the 3D depth information contained behind them, allowding the visualization and measurement of three dimensional features.

The SolidImage Streaming is the perfect Internet sharing tool for gexcel R3Xtream datasets, providing data serving and sharing of unlimited simple images and orthophotos, while allowing the client to look at fully managed 3D and 4D projects using just an Internet connection and browser. The SolidImage Streaming is unhampered by most bandwidth speed limitations. Using mobile devices, a complete touch screen user interface has been designed to take points and to measure distances, not mentioning storing and exporting the measurements. With the user-friendly visual administration tools, project managers can control all individual access levels to specific projects. This means maintaining full control over who can see or analyze the solid image features. The SolidImage Streaming tool is fully integrated with Gexcel’s powerful JRC 3D Reconstructor and gexcel R3Xtream analysis software. 3D full feature analysis can be executed, including metadata, vector and raster layers easily stored for later use in standard GIS and CAD packages.

Gexcel delivers a more than 10 years of proven fully featured lidar and imagery analysis software package, JRC 3D Reconstructor, completely compatible with all terrestrial, mobile and airborne scanners from manufacturers such as Faro, MDL, Optech, Leica, Riegl, Trimble. Gexcel is a spin off company of the University of Brescia established in 2007 from the academic know-how of the University and the applied research achievements of the European Joint Research Centre (JRC), located in Ispra (Italy).
