Measurement Devices Limited (MDL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high speed laser measurement systems for use in extreme environments has recently hired industry pioneer Travis Reinke as Chief Operating Officer of its U.S., Central and South American operations.
Measurement Devices Limited (MDL), a global, laser-based manufacturing company, announced that Travis Reinke has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer of their U.S. operations. Reinke’s primary role will be to oversee the companys Houston office and operations throughout North and South America (excluding Canada) including numerous Channel Partners and Authorized Service Centers strategically selected throughout the regions.
Reinke is nationally recognized for his application of High-Definition Surveying (also known as 3D Laser Scanning) in support of real-world solutions, and brings over 20 years of experience in data collection, processing and visualization of dense 3D data across every major market including oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, transportation, aviation, architecture, structural, film and visual effects.
In his new role, Reinke will provide leadership and technical guidance in the firm’s existing core business as an equipment manufacturer, and its new direction as a complete support solutions provider in equipment rentals, support services and high-end visualization services. Reinke says, Our goal is to strengthen the capabilities of the LiDAR industry by providing easy access to the latest hardware, software, and highly qualified technical expertise. By combining our subject matter expertise with that of like-minded industry experts, our customers are able to strengthen their ability to pursue, win and execute large contracts.
Reinke has published numerous articles relating to geospatial technologies, founded industry-related blogs SCANable.org and BIMable.org and has received a number of industry awards from highly respected organizations including the Tennessee Council of Engineering Companies and the Texas Council of Engineering Companies. He was recently involved in the historic recordation of the Space Shuttle Discovery, and has been featured in several project-related news segments and has worked with award-winning film producers, including a recent television commercial by IBM titled Data Anthem.
