Creaform Completes 2011 with Record-Breaking Sales in Q4

Technology Business Exceeds Annual Sales Targets

Lvis, March 7, 2012 Creaform, leader in portable 3D optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, today announced its 2011 fiscal year results. The company has had an exceptional year with C$37.5 million in annual sales, which makes for a growth of 37% over 2010. 2011 Q4 sales of 11.6 million represent yet a new record in the history of the company (for a second year in a row).

In 2011, we have managed to use the economic upswing to our advantage. We have reached extremely satisfactory year-over-year figures and even exceeded our annual sales target by a good margin. Our 3D Engineering Services division continues in surpassing even our most optimistic forecasts. On top of that, our sales of metrology technologies have more than doubled which tells us that we are succeeding in strengthening our position of leader for quality control applications, says Mr.Martin Lamontagne, CEO with Creaform.

When it comes to its sales of optical measurement technologies, Creaforms worldwide expansion strategy is also on a roll. EMEA and APAC both show a 38% increase over 2010, while the Americas reports 30% YOY growth overall with the United States scoring at 53%.


2011 Product Releases

Creaform has released its new Pipecheck solution for pipeline integrity assessment, which has attracted high interest from the Oil & Gas industry, as it holds great possibilities for non destructive testing (NDT) applications.

The company also launched the MaxSHOT3D optical coordinate measuring system, that brings photogrammetry to all Creaforms technology line-ups.

ISO 9001 : 2008 Certification

The company is happy to report that it has successfully received the ISO 9001 : 2008 certification for its Canada-based head office and two service offices in November of 2011.
