Laser Scanning and World’s First 3-D Smartphone

CNN recently reported on the preview of the Optimus 3-D from LG. I have a LG HD TV killer. I assume you know where I am going with this, but just in case, before you know it we are going to see the intersection of laser scanning and smartphones.

Now if you think the Optimus is too small LGs G-Slate, a tablet that runs Googles Android 3.0 software and is slated for a March release, can also capture 3-D pictures and video. The tablet cant display 3-D on its screen, but like the phone, the G-Slate can be connected to a 3-D TV set. And I guarantee it will display 3-D in the not too distant future.

If you have not been paying attention to the tablet/smartphone revolution that is taking place then you risk being left out of the next generation of computing. Some estimate that as many as 200 million tablets will be produced this year.

I honestly can imagine where the trajectory of this is going to take us.
