LiDAR for the Northeast Update

The much anticipated collection of LiDAR for the coastal regions of the Northeast US has been delayed due to poor weather this Fall. Michael Smith at the Maine Office of GIS reports that only about 1/3 of the required areas have been flown, and that the main contractor, Photo Science may have to subcontract some of the work in order to meet the July 15 deadline.

Lets hope the Spring weather is more favorable to this important project.
