The 400 kHz system has an effective rate of 266,000 LiDAR point measurements at the ground level. The Q680i combines advanced digital signal processing with a high performance LiDAR engine. "The combination allows the user to benefit from the high pulse rate at higher flight altitudes while achieving increased densities with better measurement accuracy on the ground," said Dr. Andreas Ullrich, RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems CTO.
Having a 60 field-of-view capability enables less flight lines than other systems on the market. The LMS-Q680i is best suited for heavy vegetated areas, flood plain, coastal shorelines, power line corridors, transportation, rail & pipeline corridors, and 3D city modeling.
