Bill Gutelius from Active Imaging Systems provided another NOAA agency link that has some very valuable LiDAR related information. This one is to the National Geodetic Survey the NGS Remote Sensing Division home page.
The area that caught my attention was in the lower right hand corner where the NGS is requesting input on 3 draft Scopes of Work. There are 2 LiDAR related one for airports and the other for coastal LiDAR projects, although the first is dated 2004, which must be a mistake. The actual doc has a 2009 date, so I assume this is still current.
The NGS has a very long track of excellence in the surveying profession, and I am sure there is a lot of valuable LiDAR project information in these docs. This is your chance to provide your input.
