Cambridge, UK 15th February 2010, Informatix Software International (ISI), the authors of both MicroGDS and the world-leading 3D visualisation software Piranesi 2010 announces the imminent release on Friday, February 26th, and in recognition of its 15th birthday, of the next generation of its flagship 3D CAD and Visualisation BIM software MicroGDS 2010. MicroGDS 2010 is being simultaneously released on the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 platforms in both 32bit and 64bit versions, and continues its highly regarded and highly productive interoperability with Microsoft Application Software and Infrastructure technologies.
The success of MicroGDS has not just relied on us providing our customers with the latest 3D modelling functionality, collaborative working and knowledge sharing capabilities, and extremely high-end productivity, but also from us giving them unique features such as compatibility with roaming profiles, CAD standards enforcement, centrally controlled installation and upgrade distribution, and a true multi-user capability across the whole product range…and just as importantly, solutions based on and geared to delivering against, the industrys buildingSMART (IFC/CObie) interoperability goals. said Mr Steve Evans, Managing Director of ISI, Similarly, I believe that our long term relationship with Navisworks and our unparalleled DWF, DWG and DXF expertise has proven to be an excellent background on which to develop products that can help our customers grow into the BIM environment with confidence and comfort.
The new MicroGDS 2010 release also emphasises Informatixs Green Credentials said Mr Paul Lloyd, Operations Director at ISI, It offers a double-edged benefit to customers and the environment alike. We believe it is uniquely available as a Thin Client Solution, with power usage and hardware cost savings that can really make a difference. Even when implemented conventionally its low resource demands mean that it will happily and efficiently run on older hardware/operating system platform combinations.
MicroGDS 2010 C, the premium product, will ship with the superb Lightworks rendering engine, whilst MicroGDS 2010 C and MicroGDS 2010 EL customers will both get excellent non-photorealistic rendering capabilities provided by the free copy of Piranesi 2010 Lite which ships with them. We strongly believe that the incredible price performance that these new products deliver will not only continue to grow our presence in our existing successful business sectors such as AEC and Facilities Management but will at the same time generate serious interest from non-MicroGDS users.
Also included with both new MicroGDS 2010 versions is yet further unique functionality in the form of an integrated Application Development Kit (ADK), This .NET based software offers Informatix users an incredibly fast and easy way to extend and customise the core MicroGDS technology and to so fit it to their particular operational needs and methodologies.
